Seafood Recipe

I love seafoods. I enjoy cooking and eating delicious seafoods, and served them to my family and friends. I actually have a lot of favorite recipe. The other day, I tried cooking mussels in a tomato sauce. It's actually a simple recipe. You just need some butter, olive oil, garlic, shallots, capers, tomato sauce, red pepper flakes, mussels of course, green onions and italian seasoning.

Simply melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Swirl a little olive oil into melted butter. Then you saute' the garlic, shallots, and capers in oil and butter. When shallots are translucent enough, mix in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for few minutes. Then you add mussels to the pan. Cover. Raise heat to medium-high and cook until all mussels have opened, probably about 12 minutes. When mussels are cook, remove from heat and garnish with green onions. Serve with love.

How about you? What's your favorite seafood recipe? By the way, did you know that the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board (LSPMB) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association) will have its fifth annual great American seafood Cook off come August 2 to 3 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center within the Louisiana Foodservice EXPO and the Gulf Coast Seafood Pavilion. It would be so nice to witness this prestigious culinary competition. I wonder who will win the title King of American Seafood .
